John is a family man, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons either on their Gull Lake pontoon boat or in their backyard DIY showroom-level patio. He is a foodie and beer aficionado, and has been known to brew (and share!) his own delicious beer.
JOHN McCANN, PLA, ASLA, LEED AP
PRINCIPAL | LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
John has worked on a variety of public and private projects throughout the Midwest. His ability to think across scales—from master planning large sites to the specifics of construction details—informs his project work. He values collaboration from the beginning of the project, working closely with consultants and stakeholders, to ensure a seamless blending of site, structure, and community.
A deep understanding of financial, technical, and design opportunities and constraints allows John to create thoughtful, strategic solutions. His familiarity with regulatory requirements, community engagement techniques, and funding processes are valuable assets for our clients.
In his free time, John enjoys traveling, live music, coaching his son’s robotics club, watching his son’s dance recitals, and volunteering on the board of the Gull Lake Community Schools Foundation.
