OTTAWA HILLS PLAYGROUND

VIRIDIS Design Group assisted the City of Grand Rapids with the first fully universally accessible playground in the city. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to Ottawa Hills High School, the vibrant colors and play components were selected with input from community members and students.

Hills, ramps and resilient surfacing transformed the former Grand Rapids Public Schools playground, while a climbing tower and two tube slides allow children to have one of the highest views in the neighborhood. A wide range of play equipment, including musical pieces, swings, slides, and climbers allow varied user options and enable children of all ages and motor challenges to have fun together.
