VIRIDIS Design Group provided professional park planning and implementation services to the City of Sturgis for a new 16 acre softball complex. VIRIDIS assisted the city in the development of a master plan which included the following amenities: lighted softball/youth baseball fields, restroom and concessions building, paved plaza, sidewalks, covered dugouts, bleachers, warm up areas, site furnishings, new parking and entry drive, barrier free tot lot, water distribution, sanitary sewer system, and irrigation.

Following the master plan the city received a grant from St. Joseph County to implement a large portion of the project. VIRIDIS prepared construction documents and specifications, assisted with agency reviews, and coordinated permit applications for the first phase of the project which included the construction of four lighted fields with irrigation, fencing, dugouts, and foul poles, concession/restroom building, sidewalks, site furnishings, water well, sanitary septic system, electrical service, storm water management, and parking. VIRIDIS also assisted with construction administration working closely with the owner and the contractor during construction of the project.
